Does Bollywood really need to go abroad to make movies? (Discussion)

I would say “No”. It is not necessary to go abroad in order to turn a movie into a blockbuster. In the 62 movies I’ve seen so far the locations were India, USA, UK, Switzerland, Pakistan, Thailand. I’m sure other locations have also been shown which I’m not aware of. I wonder why a film producer would decide to go abroad. India is such a big and diverse country with great landscapes, almost as big as whole Europe. But then I realised that when in search of snowing landscapes obviously it would be easier to find them in Switzerland rather than in India. Well, according to the news it seems as if Bollywood and Hollywood would be interested in finding ways to collaborate.

i also think that it is not mandatory to go abroad …...india has beautiful places and i think that would suffice….i dont know why are producers choosing foreign locations…
