If you are not familiar with the movie "Black" then please read the summary at the following website:: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0375611/plotsummary.
Life
Lessons to be learnt:
-
Don't hurt your child because s/he is handicapped and never say "S/he can't make us happy."
-
Don't put bells around your child. Don't treat her like an animal.
-
Don't think that a blind person cannot dream. The sentence "What you see is what you dream" is not necessarily correct. For a blind person this could mean "Eyes don't see dreams but the mind does". (original sentence from the movie: "I can't see with my eyes, yet I dream…... Our dream is that one day I would graduate."
-
If you have two kids, one of them is blind, the other is normal. Don't forget to treat the normal child also in a special way, help the blind one but don't just focus on that. The normal child might feel neglected.
-
Failure is the first step towards success. Celebrate failures not just successes!
-
Only after falling you can rise higher.
-
Life is an ice-cream. Enjoy it before it melts.
-
Everything is possible in this world.
-
Colours have usually different meanings in different countires. In the west it is interpreted as bad, evil, associated to death, darkness etc. But let's not forget that black is also the colour of achievement, knowledge, of the graduate robe, too!
If there are any other lessons you learnt from this movie then please let me know.
